Job Overview:

As an IT Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. You will play a key role in understanding client needs and aligning them with the company’s products and services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities in the IT sector.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, email outreach, and industry events.
  • Qualify leads by assessing the client’s needs and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Present and promote IT solutions to potential clients, focusing on the value proposition.
  • Work closely with the technical team to tailor solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and project scopes, and manage negotiations.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market penetration and drive business growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all business development activities in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with marketing and delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and project delivery.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on client requirements, market trends, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the IT sector (e.g., software development, digital solutions, IT services).
  • Proven track record of generating leads, building relationships, and driving sales.
  • Strong understanding of the IT industry, including emerging technologies, trends, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to present complex technical solutions to non-technical clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IT service sales (custom software development, cloud services, web development, etc.).
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of IT project life cycles and software development processes.
  • Networking skills and experience with attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
